Hortor sponsorship supports Emley AFC for a fourth season

Hortor will become a permanent fixture as it sponsors the first team’s home kit

Hortor, the global resourcing and managed service consultancy headquartered in Leeds, has signed a twelve-month sponsorship agreement with Emley AFC, marking the fourth consecutive season the business has supported the club.

Once again, Hortor will become a permanent fixture as it sponsors the first team’s home kit, features advertising on the shed-end stand hoarding and is named sponsor of the club’s popular café, the Hortor Dugout Diner.

Playing within the Northern Counties East League (NCEL) Premier Division, Emley will play 38 games throughout the season as the club competes for the chance to work its way up the league and to the top of the table.

Chief executive officer at Hortor, Andrew Nicholson, said: “We have followed Emley over recent years and cannot fault the team’s determination, commitment and drive to achieve and succeed.

“In 2021 we saw the club move from division one to the premier league, where the competition is much tougher. This time around, they are celebrating finishing in the top half of the table in 9th position!

“Supporting local initiatives and giving back is all part of our ethos at Hortor. Getting the chance to cheer from the side lines and to celebrate as the team hits the back of the net is just a bonus!”

Andrew Painten, Emley AFC chairman, said: “We are so pleased that Hortor has chosen to show its support for the club once again. It is only with funding from commercial organisations that we are able to continue.

“The business joined us as we were just at the start of our journey, and we are very pleased that they stayed along for the ride. Here’s hoping there will be further cause for celebration at the end of next season!”
