Active Life Leisure Club Scotch Corner’s family fun day this weekend

The reconfigured reception area
Lawn games, face painting, a barbecue and fun are on the menu at a North Yorkshire leisure club’s open day tomorrow.
Being staged between 11am and 2pm at Active Life Leisure Club, located within the grounds of the iconic Holiday Inn Darlington A1 Scotch Corner, existing and potential members will also be able to tour the club and talk with personal trainers.
The stand-alone facility, which is popular with local residents and hotel guests alike, boasts a 14m swimming pool, fully equipped gym, an extensive free weights area, sauna & steam room, and dance studio.
During a recent mini-transformation, Active Life Leisure Club has had its reception area reconfigured to create more of a ‘club feel’. Five treatment rooms, which are available for therapists to hire, and an outdoor area have also been created.
Lynda Weston, Active Life Leisure Club manager, said: “To celebrate the completion of this work, we are throwing open our doors this Saturday to members and non-members alike.
“We are inviting them to bring along their families for a fun-packed day of lawn games, face painting and a great barbecue.
“This is fantastic way to tour our leisure club, explore membership options and meet with our personal trainers who will be on hand to offer health and fitness advice.
“It is the first of many social events we hope to hold at the club; after all a healthy lifestyle isn’t only about fitness, and creating a friendly, social environment is a great place to start!”
