Employer winners are as follows: • The BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT Award for SME Employer of the Year 2019 winner is Clifton Green Primary School • The British Army Award for Large Employer of the Year 2019 winner is Zenith Vehicle Contracts Ltd • The QA Award for Macro Employer of the Year 2019 winner and The PeoplePlus Award for Recruitment Excellence 2019 winner is Lloyds Banking Group Lisa Green, Business Manager, Clifton Green Primary School, said: “We’re really excited to be crowned regional winner today. It’s a fantastic thing to be able to take this award back to the school and share it with all our apprentices who work so hard. Through the apprenticeship programme, our apprentices have been able to develop a number of skills and even become great role models for the children in the school – apprenticeships give us the opportunity to invest in someone who is passionate about the industry, and that’s of real benefit to us.” Catherine Marshall, Senior Manager Apprenticeships at Lloyds Banking Group, said: “We are so proud to have been recognised for the work we do with apprenticeships. It means so much to everyone who works hard to make a significant difference to our apprentices and the opportunities the individuals get within the Group. We see benefits to individuals because they develop the skills, knowledge and behaviour to succeed in their careers and the chance to do things they never thought would be possible. As a business, we see a huge amount of return on investment for apprenticeships including higher productivity, as well as greater performance and promotion opportunities.” Susie Moody, Learning and Development Manager, Zenith Vehicle Contracts Limited, said: “It means a huge amount to our organisation to win this award. So much work goes into our apprenticeship programme, so this is a real celebration of our success and it’s such a great achievement. Zenith benefits from its apprenticeship programme so much, from bringing in new ideas to challenging us to think differently about the way we do things. Our experience of apprenticeships are that they’re fun, and we run an interesting programme which is very involved and we’d highly recommend any organisation to get behind it. Apprenticeships are valuable to our industry especially because it’s ever changing. Apprentices have grown up in the digital era so it’s a great way to nurture that talent to become the workforce of our future – and you can only get that from people who have grown with the business from day one. We love coming to the Apprenticeships Awards, this is our third year entering so we are so pleased to have won this year. They provide a great opportunity to get feedback on our programme and it’s great to showcase to the industry and our investors the great work we are doing with apprenticeships.”Yorkshire & the Humber National Apprenticeship Awards
