Nexus shortlisted at Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2022

David Brennan, Nexus executive chairman
tech-driven business mobility provider, Nexus Vehicle Rental, has been named a finalist at the prestigious Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards in the Mid-Market Business of the Year category.
Executive chairman, David Brennan, has also been listed as a finalist for the LDC Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which he previously won in 2018.
Despite chronic supply challenges in the market, Nexus has continued to deliver strong growth and credits its success to its tech-driven solution, which offers business customers the greatest visibility of the market through its unrivalled supply chain of 550,000 vehicles across 2,000 locations.
The shortlisting follows a series of award success for Nexus including winning Best Fleet Software Product of the Year at the Business Car Awards in 2021 and being named the Transport Tech Company of the Year at the 2022 Global Business Tech Awards.
The business was also recently shortlisted for two awards at the Fleet News Awards and included in Yorkshire Business Insider’s list of the top 100 fastest growing businesses in Yorkshire.
David Brennan, executive chairman at Nexus, said: “I’m so pleased that Nexus has been shortlisted in the Mid-Market Business of the Year category, as it is testament to the hard work that our team continuously puts in to deliver an excellent service to our customers.
“In 2018, we were named the winner in the scale-up category at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards and since then we have continued to innovate and develop our proposition, despite industry challenges.”
“Whilst I am also delighted to have been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year once again, it’s really a shortlisting for our strong management team that I work with every day. It is always an honour to be included in a list alongside such big names in the industry, and I look forward to the awards night in November.”
The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards take place on the 8 November 2022, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, and celebrates innovation, success, and resilience of British businesses of all sorts, from entrepreneurs, Micro, SMEs and Mid-Market companies, as well as FTSE 100s.
