A Yorkshire based gifts company is appealing to the region’s creative side with the launch of a festive football themed drawing competition.

Always Personal, specialists in personalised gifts, is looking for a unique design to print onto their Charity Football Bauble in celebration of the first ever winter World Cup.

One lucky winner of the competition will receive a £100 voucher to spend on customised gifts. Their winning design will also be printed onto the charity bauble, with ten per cent of the sales pledged to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The online gift retailer, which recently moved to a new home on Hamburg Technology Business Park in Hull, will announce a winner on November 3. The bauble will then go on sale ahead of the World Cup, which kicks off on Sunday 20, November 20.

“We’re really excited to launch this unique competition and see the designs that participants come up with. Everyone is invited to take part, regardless of their drawing ability or age,” said Rob Harbord, managing director at Always Personal.

“We really want people to create a design that they feel represents football and the power it holds to unite people around the world.”

“There has been a lot of doom and gloom this year. But I’m sure that the exciting build up to Christmas, combined with the first ever winter World Cup will be the perfect antidote for so many of us. We can’t wait!”

As well as distributing bauble design sheets to local schools and sports groups, Always Personal have also uploaded the sheet online for any interested designers across the region to download.
