Following the announcement that Silicon Yorkshire had merged with Leeds Cloud, the collective group is hosting an in-person launch event at Chaophraya in Leeds between 5.30pm and 11p on Wednesday, December 7.
Already the fastest growing technology community in the UK, Silicon Yorkshire ignites intelligent conversation, connects special interest groups, shares news and nurtures collaborations and partnerships, while also generating opportunities for everyone.
With 3,000 pre-registrations and 2,000 event attendees from previous activities that were delivered by the Silicon Yorkshire team, this event is anticipated to be the most successful yet, attracting executives and senior executives from technology ecosystems throughout Yorkshire and beyond.
Gareth Huxall, recently appointed director of Silicon Yorkshire, comments: “This event is already attracting a huge amount of attention as we create the platform needed to bring the tech community together.
“With greater resource, thanks to our shared resources, we can do and deliver more for the group. We know how important the tech community is within the region and we want to provide a supportive and diverse network that people can benefit from.”
Founder of Silicon Yorkshire, Geoff Shepherd, comments: “Bigger and better is our motto moving forward. We have the experience, the track record and now the infrastructure to take Silicon Yorkshire to the next level.
“Our aspiration is to become the largest tech community in the UK and the only thing that is stopping that is the willingness of businesses to get involved. Silicon Yorkshire is a hub for anyone that wants to ignite, drive and deliver.
“We look forward to hosting the first of many successful events and to amplifying the incredible tech talent that we have here in Yorkshire.”
