New corporate partner appointed at Taylor Emmet

Taylor Emmet has boosted its senior team in Sheffield with the appointment of Charlotte Higgins as corporate partner.

Charlotte has moved to Taylor Emmet from her previous corporate law role at a Sheffield firm. With 13 years’ experience in the sector, she has worked across all aspects of corporate, commercial and privacy law at firms in Sheffield and Derbyshire.

Charlotte, who is also a highly successful track cyclist, will be working with Taylor Emmet Partner Rob Moore to continue the development of the firm’s Corporate department.

Charlotte said: “I’m delighted to be joining Taylor Emmet. There is clearly an ambition for growth within the Corporate department and across the firm, so I’m keen to get involved in that and bring my experience to help us develop our Corporate offering.

“The enthusiasm and support from the team has been brilliant so far and I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running in 2023.”

2023 is set to be a big year for Charlotte personally and professionally as she prepares to defend five championship titles in UK track cycling ahead of competing in the World Championships in October.

Charlotte added: “I often describe cycling as my out-of-control hobby! It takes up a lot of my free time and it’s great to have the flexibility offered by Taylor Emmet when fitting my training into my schedule.

“I’m really pleased that the firm is supporting me to achieve my goals both professionally and personally.”
