New collection bank launches at Trinity Leeds

Shoppers can help support those in need thanks to a new Community Collection Bank at Trinity Leeds, which is now open for donations of food and hygiene products for local charity St Vincent’s.
The Community Collection Bank is located at Guest Services within Trinity Leeds, where guests can donate non-perishable food and hygiene supplies. All donations will go directly to families and communities that St Vincent’s supports in Leeds.
Items that the charity is particularly in need of include:
• Long life (UHT) milk
• Small jars of coffee
• Small bags of sugar
• Pasta
• Rice
• Cereal
• Bread
• Tinned meat
• Tinned vegetables
• Tinned potatoes
• Toothpaste
• Soap
• Shower gel
• Nappies
• Sanitary products
• Washing up liquid
• Toilet roll
Trinity Leeds has supported St Vincent’s since 2014 with fundraising, donations, awareness events and training.
The charity has a community centre in Leeds and supports local residents through a range of services, from debt and welfare benefit advice, therapeutic counselling and community learning to supported volunteering opportunities and the StepUP program which helps people find employment.
Steven Foster, centre director at Trinity Leeds, said: “St Vincent’s is a lifeline for thousands of people across the city. We’re proud to have supported the charity for almost a decade, and to continue building on that relationship with the launch of our own Community Collection Bank to help people and families in Leeds.”
Caroline Kelly, centre manager at St Vincent’s in Leeds, said: “The launch of the Community Collection Bank at Trinity Leeds is a chance for anyone who is able to help to give basic food and hygiene products to those in need who might be going through a difficult time. These donations will really help make a difference to people in your local community.”
